New collective agreement for universities: trial on teaching hour caps, salary increases according to general line – strike threat cancelled

JUKO, Pro and JHL as well as employer organisation Finnish Education Employers have accepted the proposal by National Conciliator Anu Sajavaara to resolve the university labour dispute. The 24-hour strike that was to affect the University of Helsinki and the University of Turku on May 27th has been cancelled.

The 24-hour strike will begin at 00:01 on 27th May and end at 23:59 if no solution is found before then on the terms and conditions of employment and salary increases for university employees. Conciliation continues today, Monday 12th May.
