According to a recent study, people with doctoral degrees still have higher salaries than those with a lower-level degree. However, the labour market has cooled off significantly for doctors since the early 2000s. Newly graduated academic engineers and architects are satisfied with their degrees. Of the academic engineers and architects who graduated in 2024, 90% would choose the same degree again. The employment situation at the time of graduation declined slightly compared to last year. Especially international graduates find it difficult to enter the Finnish job market.
