Voting has ended.

Suomeksi På svenska

The voting period ended on April 3 at 23.59. The result of the election is published here.

How can I vote?

You can vote electronically or by post starting on 20 March 2023 at 9.00. If you vote in both ways, only the electronic vote will be counted.

All votes must be with us by 3 April at 23.59. Votes that arrive by post after this will not be counted nor will they be accounted in the election result. Votes may not be cast electronically on the electoral website after 3 April at 23.59.

Electronic voting

The electronic voting period begins on Monday 20 March at 9.00 and ends on Monday 3 April at 23.59. You can vote electronically on a separate voting site. We will send all eligible voters a link to the voting site when voting begins.

Register as an electronic voter by identifying yourself with a Finnish online banking ID or in two steps by entering an email address or a phone number to which we will send a separate code. You can log in to the voting page using the code. Please note that the email or telephone number must match the information you have provided in OmaTEK membership portal. If you update your details during the voting period, please note that there may be a delay of a couple of days in transferring your details.

Postal voting

The postal voting period begins on Monday 20 March at 9.00 and ends on Monday 27 March at 23.59. We will post candidate lists and a ballot paper and envelope to members who have not chosen electronic electoral communications at OmaTEK member portal by 10 February. Act fast if you vote by post — we recommend posting your vote as soon as you get your ballot paper.

Each voter has a unique code, which ensures technically that the voter can only cast one vote. It is not possible to connect the voter and the vote based on the code, it is only used for technical reading.

Voting instructions

1. On your ballot paper, write down the number of your candidate. Do not cover the code or make any other notes on the ballot paper.

2. Remove the ballot paper and insert it into the reply envelope without folding the ballot paper. The ballot paper is personal and must be returned in the reply envelope provided with this letter. If more than one ballot paper is in the reply envelope, all ballot papers will be rejected.

3. Post the reply envelope as soon as possible. For postal votes, voting ends on 27 March 2023, and votes delivered by 3 April 2023 will be counted.

Who can I vote for?

All candidates are compiled in this list.

When you vote, you may only vote for a candidate in your electoral area. Your electoral area is determined by your home municipality info in TEK's member register on 1 January 2023. If you live outside Finland, you can vote for a candidate in any electoral area. TFiF-TEK members may only vote for candidates in TFiF's district.

You can research the candidates in more detail in the electoral engine. The electoral engine helps you easily find candidates who align best with your values and views.

An electronic vote is a vote for the environment

We encourage all voters to vote electronically and to choose electronic electoral communications so we can reduce the amount of materials we post.

For each electronic vote, we donate €3 to an environmental cause, and when you vote electronically you can also choose that cause from a list we have compiled. Read about the causes here.
