What is a General Council?

A group of 70 people who exercise the highest decision-making power at TEK and represent the members. In the spring 2026 elections, a council will be elected for the 2026–2029 term.

What does a delegate do?

A delegate (a council member, councillor) contributes to the development of TEK's operations, in practice by participating in council meetings and in the activities of their own council group. At council meetings, the delegates decide on TEK's operational priorities and can make initiatives in new directions. The council usually meets twice a year for 1–2 days.

Who can stand as a candidate and vote?

If you are a full or pensioner member of TEK or a full or pensioner member of TFiF-TEK, you can stand as a candidate and vote as long as your membership has been valid on 1 January 2026. TEK members also include dual members (full and pensioner members). Student members do not participate in elections, but student representatives are elected through local associations in university cities.

Electronic voting for the council elections will take place from 13th to 30th March, 2026.
