Election timeline 2026
- 1 Jan: Voting rights and eligibility determined. Eligible to vote and stand as a candidate are full and pensioner members of Tekniikan Akateemiset ry, as well as full and pensioner TFiF-TEK members of Tekniska Föreningen i Finland r.f., whose membership has been valid as of 1 January 2026.
- 9 Jan 12.00: Candidate nomination begins.
- 9–23 Jan: Appeal period for candidacy and voting eligibility.
- 9 Feb 12.00: Candidate nomination ends. The electronic candidate nomination tool is available throughout the entire nomination period.
- 9 Feb by 12.00, electoral alliances must return the signed agreement document, a possible coalition agreement document, and the candidate list to TEK’s office. Read detailed instructions here.
- 11 Feb: Candidates receive a confirmation email and their candidate details.
- 11 Feb: Electoral alliances and coalitions must submit their programs by 11 Feb to TEK's communication team: heidi.tomperi@tek.fi. A preview of the layout will be sent by 27 Feb for comments, and feedback must be provided by 4 Mar. If communications do not receive a confirmation, the preview version will be published.
- 25 Feb by 12.00: Candidates must check their candidate information from the email sent on 11 Feb. If you do not receive the email or wish to change your details, please contact: vaalit@tek.fi.
- 25 Feb: Election committee approves candidate lists and assigns candidate numbers.
- 26 Feb: Candidate numbers are sent to the candidates.
- 26 Feb 12.00 – 13 Mar 12.00: Election compass open for candidates.
- 13 Mar 12.00: Electronic voting begins.
- 13 Mar: Election compass opens to public.
- 20 Mar: TEK-lehti issue 2/26 published.
- 30 Mar 12.00: Electronic voting ends.
- 1 Apr by 15.00: Results published.
