At TEK, we are committed to advancing our members’ interests in working life. To represent you as effectively as possible, for example in collective bargaining negotiations, it is important for us to know where our members work. That is why we encourage all members to keep their employment information up to date in the OmaTEK member portal.
We continuously negotiate industry-specific and company-specific collective agreements and support employee representatives in local bargaining. As employment terms are increasingly negotiated at the workplace level, accurate employment information has become even more important to us. During negotiations, it is essential that we can keep you informed about developments in your industry, or even at your specific workplace. In addition, during collective bargaining negotiations we send member surveys to gather feedback so that our negotiators understand our members’ views and priorities.
Update your details in OmaTEK and enter the draw
Everyone who updates their employment details or employment status (for example, unemployment, parental leave, or another similar situation) between 9 September and 11 October 2026 will be entered into a draw to win an Oura Ring 5 (available in black or silver; value €429). All members who add or modify their employment information during the campaign period will automatically participate in the draw.
TEK carries out labour market advocacy in cooperation with other Akava-affiliated unions. In the private sector, this work is conducted through YTN (Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff), and in the public sector through JUKO (Negotiation Organisation for Public Sector Professionals). For this reason, you may often receive messages related to negotiations or employment terms from YTN or JUKO.
