The sun is just about coming out, which means Spring is possibly finally here! To celebrate, TEK will hold a gathering intended especially for our international members in Akava House, Rautatieläisenkatu 6, Helsinki, on Tuesday 20th May. The doors will open at 17.30, with the event programme beginning at 18.00.
At the event, the vital topic of networking will not just be discussed, but put into practice with an interactive workshop specifically tuned to the Finnish working culture. Before and after there will be chances to eat, chat with fellow TEK members, and hear from representatives of TEK's Group for International Experts about the ongoings in TEK's activites.
The sign-up for the event is open until Tuesday 13th May. The event is completely free, in English, and exclusively for members of TEK.

Jarrod Luxton
Jarrod Luxton is Senior Lead within The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra’s sustainability program, where he focuses on enhancing the Finnish private sector's capability to lead the green transition. Holding engineering degrees from Monsh University in Australia and Aalto University in Finland, Jarrod has supporting both companies and governments on sustainability strategy, environmental policy, and the technical design of sustainability solutions.
In addition to his role at Sitra, Jarrod is the founder of First Arrow, a company dedicated to helping professionals develop career-critical skills through comprehensive courses and coaching. Jarrod also sits on the board of the Finnish Sustainable Investment Forum (FINSIF), where he leads the nature and biodiversity activities and cooperation with Nordic SIFs.
Since moving to Finland in 2019 Jarrod has embraced the Nordic way of life. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking golf, sailing, and cross-country skiing and is working on his Finnish & Swedish language skills. Jarrod has previously spent a semester at Technical University of Denmark and was part of the United Nations 2022 UNLEASH program in Greenland.
