STRENGTHEN YOUR LINKEDIN PRESENCE
Create a LinkedIn profile and make sure to keep it up-to-date. Read the article series written by TEK’s career coaches on what LinkedIn is and what to use it for, the different sections of a LinkedIn profile, LinkedIn as a search engine, improving search results, how to become active on LinkedIn and the use of different features.
Join TEK’s own LinkedIn group TEKrekry. TEKrekry is a networking and job posting platform for TEK members, employers, and recruiters. In TEKrekry you can discover open vacancies and participate in professional networking.
Also, remember to be active on other social media channels that are relevant to your field.
Regional PROJECTS designed to support job search
Participate in group peer coaching meant for highly educated talents, who are looking for a job in Uusimaa, Tampere, Turku, and Oulu.
To qualify for the peer group coaching, the participants need to be registered in the TE-office as unemployed job seekers.
In the Group you will learn how to vocalize your competencies, how to market your capabilities and know-how, how to make your CV, Cover letter and LinkedIn profile excellent and how to stand out from the crowd. The group also helps to create and grow a network and to remain motivated during job search.

LOOKING FOR A JOB ABROAD?
TEK offers our members access to the GoinGlobal portal, which contains a lot of information on working and applying for jobs abroad.
CONSIDER THE OPTIONS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Approximately six percent of TEK members have entrepreneurship as a primary or secondary occupation. Furthermore, at least one in four members has considered entrepreneurship or at least showed interest in it. As a result, we have increased and improved our services for entrepreneurs and those interested in pursuing entrepreneurship.
THE RIGHT SALARY REQUEST
Check your salary request with the Salary Surveyor service. The Salary Surveyor is a database tool, that allows you to check the salary levels for different positions in your field. The information is based on the annual labour market survey carried out by TEK.
