NATIONAL TEEKKARI CAP DAY 30.9.2020

Put your teekkari caps on! The Teekkari Cap Day is intended for everyone who owns a teekkari cap, whether they are students or academic engineers and architects who have already graduated. Wherever you are, at the university, at the office or at home, you can participate in the day by taking a selfie of yourself wearing the cap and posting it on social media using the hashtags #teekkarilakkipäivä #teekkaricapday #teknologmössansdag. Webinar: “Understanding Finnish Culture” 1.10.2020 by Mira Kivistö

In this webinar we use Hofstede’s model of cultural differences to create an understanding of the Finnish culture and some fundamental differences between cultures. Develop your professional skills at the Young Professionals’ Forum  

Young Professionals' Forum is a coaching and training program for TEK members who are interested in investing time in their professional and personal development.  In YPF you will gain tools and advice on improving your professional influence, leadership skills, interaction, and personal brand. The forum consists of inspiring keynotes, facilitated group assignments, peer-to-peer sparring, and independent work.  

The forum includes three sessions held in Pasila, Helsinki in October, November and January, and assignments between the sessions. YPF is open for all TEK’s full members (not student members), who are under 35 years old and interested in investing time in professional development. Read more

 

UPCOMING COURSES:

Name It and Say It: Identify and Verbalise your competencies and skills-online course! 5.10.2020

This online course is intended for all full members of TEK who wish gain clearer insight on their own expertise and be able to communicate it effectively to others when looking for a job or planning your career, for example. The aim of this online course is to help you to identify, understand and verbalise your skills and competencies.

The course takes place on an online platform and contains independent studying and includes a broad array of exercises. You may complete the exercises independently and set your own schedule. During the course, you will receive guidance from TEK's career coaches, and if you wish, you can network with other TEK members participating on the course. The online course will begin on Monday, October 5th, 2020. Read more and sign up here
