Join the Name It and Say It: Identify and Verbalise Your Competencies and Skills -online course! This course is intended for both student and full members of TEK who wish to gain clearer insight on their own expertise and be able to communicate it effectively to others in various situations. The course is held in English.

We all have numerous skills and competencies — whether we realize it or not. In today's job market, however, possessing skills and compentencies is often not enough. You also need to be able to communicate your skills to others. The better you know the different aspects of your competencies, the better you will be able to verbalise and communicate your skills to others and connect to exactly those career opportunities that inspire you.

Being able to identify and verbalize your skills is needed when, for example, deciding which jobs and tasks might be most suitable for you, writing your CV/resume and cover letter or preparing for a job interview. The course takes place on an online platform and contains independent studying and includes a broad array of exercises. You can set your own schedule and you don’t need to be present at any particular time during the course.

The course consists of four units:

    • What are Skills and Competencies?
    • Competencies Identified by Others
  • DEVELOP: Looking to the future
  • VERBALIZE your skills and competencies
  • PITCH yourself!

You can sign up for this course until Monday, May 2nd 2022 and the course materials will be at your disposal until Tuesday, May 31st 2022. To participate, you only need a computer device that is connected to the Internet. The course is also accessible on mobile devices.
