The Finnish Association for
Organizational Development - KESSU is an association of
professionals responsible for management, leadership and
organizational development issues in Finnish companies and
other organizations as well as in the research and consulting
sector.
 KESSU´s
purpose is to develop and increase the skills and knowledge
of its members who work in various sectors of Organizational
Development and to share experiences and knowledge with
supporting networks.
The
association operates as a professional club under the
umbrella of the Finnish Association of Graduate Engineers
(TEK), which is a professional and labour market
organisation. Currently KESSU has about 70 members, who
are interested in management, leadership and organizational
development issues. Most of the members (80 %) are engineers
with a university degree, but also students and other
interested people are accepted as members.
KESSU offers a
channel to interesting subjects, companies and other
organizations, events and above all KESSU makes it easy to
network with interesting people. The association arranges
about six events a year. Each event includes training, a
workshop or other activities that make people think, learn
and network. The topical teams and practical ways of
conducting the event and even the reasons behind the event
have varied a lot. The main purpose is to challenge the
current thinking models of the participants and to create
new, innovative ideas to be used in practical work.
